// sentosa
the air was pretty still..
we were chillin' by the beach..
sippin' on our beer and listenin' to some music..
it was one quiet night..
'til we heard an odd noise..
we realised that it was coming from the chair next to us..
sounded like it was coming from the inside though..
jae stood up on the chair and started to jump on it..
but it still went on creeking..
i dare say now..
it has gotta be papa smurf sitting on a rocking chair..
inside that wooden chair..
reading all the little smurfs a bed time story..
anyways..
our main purpose to sentosa was to sail our bottle..
a bottle filled with wishes and the things we wanna forget..
but before we do so..
we were supposed to create a poem, first..
so.. lets get down to business..
when it was time to brainstorm..
we settled down penning our thoughts on blank sheet..
our minds were pretty empty for a moment..
we were fooling around with words and oh-such creativeness..
imagine lasering a ship till it explodes..
till toilet rolls and flash holds..
mind block is a big joke..
still, we both managed to create such a lovely poem..
and finally..
mission accomplished!
we had our wishes and our poetry corked up.
or yknow- something jae would say..
"COCKED AND SCREWED... tight!"
we walked together arms around each other..
towards the sea..
and now,
(drum rolls...)
here come's the best part..
uh- holdddd!!
someone slipped and the bottle flew the other way..
no really.. i'm serious!
luckily nothing was broken..
jae's leg and the bottle..
all's good..
it was a smooth sail for our little bottle of hope..
we watched it drift..
further and further away from the shore..
we smiled..
and we looked back for the last time..
i felt a weight lifted 'pon chest..
a relief and a sense of hope..
and jae felt the same way too.. :)
we wanted to stay on to watch the sun rise..
but i guess we were both tired..
and it was pretty hazey too..
so we headed back towards the carpark..
and came across something rather amusing..
WARNING:
beware of possible peacock attacks to cars!
park at your own risk
during mating season,
peacocks display overt courting
behaviour and have been known
to attack reflective surfaces
such as cars with polished bodywork.
these territorial birds mistakenly view
their own reflection as that of a competing peacock.
the island's carparks cannot be protected from such
free ranging animals and drivers are advised
that they park strictly at their own risk.
lastly, to end this entry..
let me share something with you.
our poetry..
.::.
// created by jae & jo
here's to the night we finally sail..
secrets untold,
deep within our soul.
regrets ever so cold,
and the wishes that we hold..
these dice of fate we roll,
for a contented life to unfold.
sealed inside our bottle it shall flow,
to the horizon it will go..
through all stormy weathers and crashing tides,
with our spirits it will guide.
under that solitary star that shines out bright..
it will be carried on with the path of its light.
you my friend who picks this bottle of our dreams..
read and not keep.
for this bottle belongs to the sea..
let it drift an endless journey.
through all time with the waves as its company...
.:::.
special nights like this..
will always be kept and locked..
inside my heart..
where you belong..
